Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club (only minutes northwest of San Antonio just off Interstate 10 West) opened in 1978, utilizing the original 14,000 square foot ranch home of Ralph E. Fair, Sr., as the center of the Club. With minimal changes to the original home, the addition of 8,000 square feet of space, a golf course, tennis courts and a pool, the Club quickly became the center of activities for the residents of the developing Fair Oaks Ranch Community.
As the residential community has grown into the City of Fair Oaks Ranch (incorporated in 1988), the Club has also expanded with an additional golf course, tennis courts, pools and facility space, creating a "home away from home" for the residents, Members and guests.
