As Arthur Hills stated upon completion of the Honors Course…"Oak Pointe is a challenge every time. It is beautiful as it fits into its natural setting. A good course has holes one can remember - Oak Pointe’s holes will certainly be remembered”. In addition to the holes, the views overlooking the wetlands and Little Crooked Lake are particularly memorable.
You don’t have to be a long hitter to score well on the Honors Course, but accuracy is rewarded. The undulating greens are very challenging and will test anyone’s short game. You’ll certainly remember the Honors Course for its beauty and its challenge.
The Championship Course is unrecognizable from its pre-renovation form. Jerry Matthews masters the use of existing terrain and added 49 bunkers to a rolling piece of land that winds you through the trees and valleys of the Lake Region of Livingston County. The narrow fairways and natural heather will put a premium on accuracy. The true tests of this 6504-yard gem are the greens, which will allow a good birdie, but will also require some cautious short putts.
