Pat Dando is a 30-year resident of San Jose, became President and CEO of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce in September 2005. Pat has a long and distinguished record of public service, which includes having served as Director of Local Government Affairs for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vice Mayor of San Jose and San Jose City Councilmember for a decade. Over the years, she has also served on several professional, policy and community boards and committees, including the Santa Clara County Cities Association, League of California Cities, National League of Cities, National Homeland Security, Valley Transportation Authority, Stroke Awareness Foundation, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Education Foundation for American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Pat advocates for business with local, state and national officials; she is a member of General Plan Task Force, the General Fund Structural Deficit Elimination Plan Group, and the Coyote Valley Task Force.
Pat Dando graduated from North Texas State University with a double major in Education and English. In addition, Pat graduated from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government program for senior executives in Public Policy. Now she is the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren. She and her husband, Bob, have lived in the same San José neighborhood for 30 years where they raised their three children.

As president of San José State University, Don W. Kassing heads the oldest and one of the largest universities in the 23-campus California State University system. Appointed in 2004, Kassing has moved the university forward in numerous key areas. Under his leadership, the campus engaged in university-wide strategic planning, increased enrollments and efforts to increase student success, received high commendations from its accrediting agency, stabilized athletics funding, and greatly increased private giving to the university.
