The Mission Hills Croquet Club Membership Procedures
Annual Membership Dues:
$100 for single players
$150 for couples
First year members should add $50 (for single or couple) as a fee for our club equipment fund.
Since our tournaments are sanctioned by the U. S. Croquet Association, all players who wish to participate in tournaments need to be members of the USCA. If you are not already a member you can become one by the annual payment of $55 for single players and $80 for couples.
Court Fees: Croquet Club members who also belong to the Mission Hills Country Club do not pay daily court fees. Other Croquet Club members pay a $10 daily fee payable to the Country Club at the Tennis Desk prior to playing.
Guests: Guests must be accompanied by a member. Fee for each guest is $10 a day.
Mission Hills Country Club: Members with Valley residences or long-term seasonal rentals are highly encouraged to join the Mission Hills Country Club.
USCA Members: Croquet players who are already USCA members and do not live locally may join the Mission Hills Croquet Club at the regular annual fee of $100 single or $150 for couple.
Dress: Croquet whites, shirts with collars, regular length shorts, and flat-soled white or mostly white shoes.
Court Usage: After ALL (5) courts are full; players on the courts will permit double banking.
Sportsmanship: Players should show good manners and sportsmanship and avoid any behavior that may reflect poorly on the club.
Clearing the Court: The last players leaving the court should return the string, balls, clips, boards, chairs, umbrellas, etc. to the locker. Please be sure to lock the door securely. Leave the wickets, flags and posts in place.
Parking: The Country Club has requested that we park in the tennis club house parking lot or the parking area near the grass tennis courts. Do not park in neighborhood spaces or on the street.
The United States Croquet Association (USCA) just announced that Club President Jim Butts, First Lady Phyllis Butts and the entire Mission Hills Croquet Club has been selected as the 2007 Outstanding Club of the Year!
Each year since 1980 the USCA searches to identify and recognize individuals whose leadership, spirit, drive and dedication help advance the sport of croquet in America, thus serving as a “model” which others might emulate.
USCA President Rich Curtis and the Management Committee made the announcement on March 15, 2008, during the USCA Awards Dinner at the National Croquet Center.
