Community Connections Holiday Food Drive
As the golden hues and spicy aromas of autumn pleasure our senses, and we prepare for the taste treats and family camaraderie of Thanksgiving, the Community Connections Committee offers a means to keep in mind those who are less fortunate.
Community Connections will be supporting Second Harvest Food Bank with a food drive from Wednesday, Nov. 11 through Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Barrels for donations of nonperishable food items will be located in the lobby of the Capital Club next to the concierge’s desk. Most needed items are: meals in a can (stew, chili and soup), tuna/canned meat, peanut butter, canned foods with pop-top lids, low sugar cereals, 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes, canned fruit packed in its own juice, and low salt canned vegetables.
Please do not donate items packaged in glass or bulk quantities of rice, flour or sugar.
