Brett grew up in Denver playing golf in high school and for four years at Whittier College (NCAA Division III) in California and has worked in the golf industry since 2007.
Most recently, Brett served as General Manager at Diamond Bar Golf Course, where he helped the club achieve the 2015 Los Angeles County Course of the Year Award – one of his proudest accomplishments. His roles at various clubs also have included Assistant General Manager, Director of Sales and National Membership Sales Advisor.
Brett and his wife Maria have one daughter.

Megen’s true passion lies within the hospitality industry, creating valuable and lifelong experiences for Members and their friends. Megen graduated from the Collin’s School of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona in 2011 and has been working in the Club industry for since 2007. She was most recently at Los Coyotes County Club as the Event Sales Manager, and prior, SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach as the Director of Member Relations.
Megen resides in Corona with her husband Scott, and they love to get out play golf every chance they get.

Holly’s 20-year career in Private Events began while working for a catering company and sparked her love for event planning. Holly will always go the extra mile to ensure that her clients visions come to life. The memories people make at their weddings and significant events last a lifetime. Being a mother of two children, she is accustomed to juggling wants and needs with grace. Her focus and attention to detail is evident in her work. “These events are really important to people, therefore important to me.” Holly is passionate about her field and simply enjoys being a part of these major moments of people’s lives.

As the Director of Tennis at Canyon Crest, Javier cannot picture his life without teaching others. “My favorite part of teaching is seeing the moment it “clicks” for students or fellow coaches.” Both on and off the court, Javier utilizes the knowledge he obtained from his Sports Management degree from Concordia University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Javier takes pride in having mentored countless tennis professionals of varying backgrounds and experience levels and has coached many players who have gone on to play competitively in high school, college, and professionally. His positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to the sport grants him an unprecedented ability to teach. At Canyon Crest, Javier hopes to elevate the Tennis community with dynamic programs to engage members of all ages.

Travis Cho’s multifaceted expertise in the Food and Beverage Department allows him to take a hands-on approach and lead by example. “If you need a busboy, I’ll be a busboy. You will see me cleaning and doing whatever is necessary.” He immigrated to Chicago from South Korea when he was nine years old. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing at Northern Illinois University. Under the watchful eye of his mother, a Chef, he began his journey into the culinary field as a cook, gradually working his way through various positions. His goal-orientated leadership led him to open three restaurants in Riverside, CA as a consultant manager. With 25 years of experience, he hopes to bring vibrancy to Canyon Crest through creative menus, excellent service, and an eminent dining experience.

Email Margarito "Junior" Cortes
Prior to coming to Canyon Crest, Junior spent 14 years at Jurupa Hills Country Club. Junior worked in every position within the golf operations department, culminating in serving as the Director of Golf, and later being promoted to General Manager. Junior's understanding of all facets within golf operations will help us build on the positive steps taken under Kyle's leadership. In addition to his attention to detail and service-oriented approach to the position, Junior takes a special interest in junior golf, ladies golf and tournament play which will help us take the next step in enhancing our overall member experience.In addition to his professional experience, Junior is also an accomplished golfer, instructor and Coach. He has won various events within the SCPGA Inland Empire Chapter as a player and was on the coaching staff of the 2011 NAIA National Championship team at Cal Baptist University.

Nick Reyes was born and raised in Moreno Valley, California. He grew up with a love for sports and played baseball through high school but always had a passion for golf. His golf career started at Moreno Valley Ranch while he completed the Turf Management Program at Mount San Jacinto College. Nick’s golf career led him to Navy Golf Course in Seal Beach, Pelican Hill Resort, Canyon Crest Country Club, & Fountaingrove Golf & Athletic Club in Santa Rosa. Nick returned to Canyon Crest Country Club as the new Golf Course Superintendent in January 2018.

Canyon Crest would like to welcome our new Executive Chef Rafael Garcia.
Rafael entered the culinary world in 2008 after sustaining a career ending injury that serendipitously pushed him to follow a lifelong passion, cooking. He enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu in North Hollywood where for two years he worked under the tutelage of some of top instructors in California. After graduating, Rafael moved to Florida to work at Club Med in St Lucie. It was here where he leaned the art of service and fine dining on a grand scale. Missing his family and friends, Rafael decided to move back to California. After working for Amtrak and The Sheraton, Rafael became the Head Special Events Chef for two of the top catering companies in Orange County; Jays Catering and Canyon Catering. In 2017 Rafael joined the Canyon Crest Team and became our Head Banquet Chef. Over the last two years Rafael proved to be an exemplary team player and leader among his crew. In January of 2019 his passion for food, service and leadership earned him the position of Executive Chef. We want thank Rafael for his endless dedication and hard work and we look forward what new and exciting creations he and his team have to offer.

Michaela is the type of person that wants to succeed at whatever goal she is setting for herself, big or small. “I think there’s no point in doing something, if you aren’t going to give it your all.” Michaela moved to Riverside to complete her English degree at the University of California, Riverside. Prior to her move, she worked at the Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara in both Member Services and Kids Club. During her time at Canyon Crest, she has proved that she is willing to go beyond what is expected from her, equipped with her two favorite accessories, a positive attitude, and a smile. Michaela truly enjoys what she does and it shows in her sunny disposition and ability to provide excellent service to all.
