Elizabeth is a True Blue Tar Heel! She grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, and is a 1991 graduate of UNC. She enjoys sports, reading and spending time with her husband and son.

The Carolina Club is the connecting point for the University, Alumni, and the Chapel Hill/Carrboro business community. Elizabeth’s role as Membership Director is to assist building lifelong relationships that enhance the lives of our Members. In addition to meeting with current Members and University and community leaders, Elizabeth is committed to ensuring awareness of The Carolina Club's many benefits and assisting those who will benefit by becoming Members.

JJ Oppegard

JJ just recently joined The Carolina Club in August 2017.  She is a native of Knoxville, TN and graduate from the University of Tennessee, her blood may run orange, but UNC has always had a special place in her heart.  “There is such a great vibe on this campus and I love being right in the middle of it all!”  Growing up JJ spent her summers on the NC coast and has always had a love for the beaches and mountains of NC. During her free time, JJ enjoys traveling, watching college sports and spending time with her husband and two daughters, Preston, Anna and Megan.  “Life is busy but I would not have it any other way!”  JJ loves planning all types of events but really enjoys meeting new members/clients and building strong relationships with them.

Bryan Dahlstrom

Role: Executive Chef

A graduate of the American Culinary Federation’s Apprentice Program; Bryan spent years developing and honing his craft in some of Florida’s finest resorts and hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort.

Chef has spent the past 12 years with the Centerplate corporation, which is recognized as one of the finest food service companies serving high quality premium complexes, sports arenas and stadiums. He started as the Pastry Chef at the Jacksonville Jaguar’s NFL stadium before bringing his passion for food and southern hospitality to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex as the Executive Chef where his skills were key to the success of many ACC and NCAA Basketball Tournament VIP meals.

In 2009 Chef Bryan relocated the Raleigh Convention Center soon after its Grand Opening; became Executive Sous Chef and had been instrumental in “WOWing” the center’s guests by leading the development of quality, from scratch, globally and regionally influenced menus. In 2014 he was named the Executive Chef at the newly and majorly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park, regarded as one of the best minor league ballparks in the country. He opened the PNC Triangle Club and developed menus for the corporate suites and premium concession concepts throughout the park.

The last two and a half years he has been at the Crown Complex in Fayetteville serving a variety of clients from performers like Foreigner, the Beach Boys and Ms. Lauryn Hill to the large prestigious military galas.

During his time with Centerplate, one of his more memorable events was the 2008 Guinness Book record-plated dinner for 16,206 people in Washington, D.C. Chef Bryan was invited to travel and serve as "Visiting Chef" at partner venues in North Carolina, Tennessee, Washington D.C., New Orleans, and California for several high profile volume events.

Chef Bryan’s culinary passions are big flavors inspired by global and American regional dishes of all kinds, seeking out quality local and regional producers and farmers.

Chef Bryan’s first passion is his family as he approaches 30 wonderful years of marriage to his wife Elaine. Chef is blessed with his two daughters Desiree and Monique and three granddaughters Brooklynn (7), Harper (3 ½) and Autumn (6 mths).
