Centre Club, Tampa’s premier private city club, welcomes General Manager John Glaser, who transitioned into his role at the club at the beginning of September. Glaser brings more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience and was previously in the role of general manager of The Club at Moraya Bay in Naples, Florida and the Mixon Bath and Racquet Club in Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to joining Centre Club Tampa, Glaser was promoted to general manager of Capital City Club in Montgomery, Alabama, another private city club in the ClubCorp family, after a short time with the club. During his tenure in Montgomery, the club was transformed by overall growth in membership and revenue, as well as an increase in member satisfaction. At Centre Club Tampa, he will bring his expertise and past success to elevate all aspects of the membership experience.
Ashley recently joined Centre Club in January 2020. She was born and raised in South Tampa but made her way to Troy University in 2007 where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports & Fitness Management with a minor in Recreation. She continued her post graduate career at Troy and earned her Master of Science in Sports & Fitness Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration. Ashley moved back home in 2013 and began her career in Hospitality/Event Management. She brings seven years of experience in private club management and is excited to build vibrant programming to help Members connect.
Kris joined the Centre Club in October 2016. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Kris grew up a fan of everything Ohio. Although Kris has been a Florida resident for the past ten years, he stays loyal to his hometown/state supporting the Cleveland Browns, Cavs, Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes! Kris graduated from the University of Mount Union in 2006 with a B.A. in Sport Business. Kris is a member of the 2002 Mount Union National Championship football team. He started his career in Bonita Springs, FL as the Recreation Manager for the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in 2006. He relocated to Tampa Bay in 2009 where he advanced his professional sales career with both AIG and the Tampa Bay Rays. He is a proud member of the USGA and when he is not working chances are you can find Kris on the golf course, somewhere on a beach or on a boat fishing! He is the proud owner of two dogs, Tyson, a black lab (14) and a rescue, Baylee, a Multi-Poo (3).
Elizabeth has been an employee partner with the ClubCorp family since 2002. She was first employed at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio then transferred to Countryside Country Club in 2007. In 2011, Elizabeth stepped in to the Private Events Director position. What Elizabeth enjoys most about her position is planning many milestone events, from weddings to business meetings and so much more.
Selena graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management and a minor in Marketing. After graduation she returned to her hometown, Saint Petersburg, Florida and joined the Centre Club team in October of 2016. She looks forward to assisting you in all your event planning needs!
Trevor Monroe began his ClubCorp career in 2012 at the University Center Club in Tallahassee Florida. He transferred to the Tower Club in January of 2019, and most recently transferred to the Centre Club Tampa in May 2020. Trevor received his Food and Beverage STAR certification in May of 2016 and won the company-wide ClubCorp Superstar award in 2018. Trevor played division II soccer at Young Harris College in Young Harris Georgia on a soccer scholarship and graduated with honors in 2012 with a degree in Biology. Trevor loved his time at the University Center Club and was promoted five times ultimately to the position of Ala Carte Service Director. The mentor-ship he received from Tracy Marple the GM at the University Center Club is why he made the decision to focus on a career in Club Management. Trevor is an avid sports fan and enjoys going to live sporting events. When Trevor is not at work he loves spending time with his family.
Austin joined Centre Club in February 2019. Originally from the Cleveland, OH area, he graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Hospitality Management. He has spent over 15 years in professional kitchens. His journey has taken him from owning his own business, to working as the Tampa Bay Lightning's Players Chef, to spending over 5 years with Embassy Suites as both a Sous and Executive Chef. He is trained in Classical French cuisine but holds a passion for comfort foods and modern cuisine with a Floribbean flair.
