Joe comes to The Country Club of the South from Columbus, Ohio where he supported local and national employer groups with initiatives to build and develop worksite fitness programs. He is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach. Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University where he was also a competitive rower. Joe enjoys using his education and experience to construct holistic fitness and wellness plans.

Joe prides himself on keeping up with current research and practical implications of evidence-based protocols he incorporates into instruction. Joe has a passion for comprehensively improving the lives of those he instructs through building strength, energy, and confidence. He is excited to join the team at The Country Club of the South and bring these passions to life through the fitness and wellness of members!

Wendy King

Wendy has been with the team since 2011. She is an AFAA certified instructor. Wendy hold additional certifications in Piyo Strength (fusion of Pilates and Yoga), Barre, TRX, and Suspension Training. Her specialty formats are Pilates/Barre/Core classes, Small Group Training, Aqua Fitness, and Strength/Conditioning. Wendy’s fitness focus is guiding others to live a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle. Her classes encourage the beginner and challenge the advanced.

Monica Murray

Monica has been with the team since 2011, and in fitness since 2001. Her career began as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer but she shifted her focus toward group fitness because she enjoys the energy offered in a group fitness environment. She teaches all formats but her passions lie in teaching strength classes and yoga. Monica holds certifications in Personal Training, Group Fitness, Spin, 200RYT, TRX, and Pre & Post Natal Yoga.

Renee McKie

Renee has been with the team since 2014. She started teaching aerobics in 1993 and obtained her Zumba Certification in 2010. She was awarded Aerobics Instructor of the Year three consecutive years. Renee combines her love of teaching and her love of fitness into classes that are high-energy and accessible for all fitness levels.

Terri Thornton

Terri has been with the team since 2013. Terri has been teaching group fitness and personal training for over 20 years. She has a passion for dance and has performed with numerous groups including the Atlanta Falcon Cheerleaders. She is certified in AFAA, Zumba, and Schwinn Cycle. Her specialty formats are Step, Sculpting, Kickboxing, Bootcamp, Cycle, Zumba, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, Senior Fitness, and Personal Training. Terri designs her classes so that participants enjoy their fitness experience while receiving a safe and challenging workout.

Dana Miller

Dana has been with the team since 2018. She is a certified RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Instructor. Dana is also certified in Mindfulness & Yin Yoga, KidzYoga, and Prenatal Yoga. Her passion is teaching others awareness of the body and mind. Dana’s mission is to teach balancing and strengthening techniques for the body and mind that help manage daily stress.
