Number eight is a true risk-reward par-5. The smart golfer will hit a hybrid or three-wood off the tee, lay up with a mid iron, wedge it on the green and one or two putt for birdie or par. Being that we don’t always play smart, the daring among us will kill their driver and if it is hit perfectly, then the green can be reached in two with a long iron. The green, however, is very small, elevated and has three bunkers around it so birdie is tough if you don’t hit it. Most of the trouble on this hole is off the tee with out-of-bounds right and a water hazard left. So we ask, are you going to play like a smart golfer or not?
