The Gleneagles swim team is a recreational summer program (for children between the ages of 5 and 17) designed to be fun and instructional. We focus on stroke mechanics combined with strength-training and conditioning. Our coaches are all former competitive swimmers and/or certified lesson instructors. We offer both competitive and non-competitive options.
If your child can swim the length of the pool without stopping, he/she is eligible to participate in our swim team. All new swimmers under the age of 10 will need to attend a very short tryout session during swim team registration. This requirement may be waived if swimmer(s) has previous swim team experience with another Club or program.
Our instructors who are certified in the American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction Program teach swimming lessons at Gleneagles during the season when the pool is open. This program is designed to start teaching children around the age of three. We offer group sessions, private and semi-private lessons, which are arranged at the mutual convenience of our Members and instructors.
For details and registration information, see our Junior Activities Guide on the right column of this page.
