John was appointed General Manager of Knollwood Country Club in May 2019. John comes to the Club with a rich history in Parks and Recreation. Before becoming the leader of the Knollwood team he was the Executive Director and Superintendent of Recreation and Facilities at Western Springs and Arlington Height Park District’s in the Chicagoland area. John holds a degree from University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse in Parks and Recreation Administration/Leadership.
John and his wife, Sheila have a son, Kieran. When John is not at the Club, he enjoys being active in the community and attending various sporting events. John is excited about the future of Knollwood and creating Magic Moments for our Members.
Karen has been with Knollwood Country Club since 1986!! She has a been staple here at the Club since then. She started in the Private Events department here part time. During her time in that department she got to know a lot of the Members. In 1989 is moved to the Club's Accounting Office as the Accounting Assistant and has been there ever since. In July 2016 she was promoted to the Office Manager where she is now as she runs whole Accounting Department for the Club.
Karen is married to her awesome husband of 41 years Darrell. When Karen is not working she loves to spend time with her family and friends, make home improvements and travel. Karen and her husband have with two adult children, Jason and Melissa. Karen's daughter and her son in law Pete live in Arizona which is one of Karen's favorite places to go!!

Email Lindsay Piwowar
Lindsay grew up as a member of Knollwood and has worked at Knollwood for 20 years. She has been a Lifeguard, Pool Operator, Swim Instructor, Swim Coach, Banquet, and Restaurant Server. She recently accepted a position at the office and now helps with Knollwood's Special Projects.
Lindsay graduated from Ball State University in 2005 with degrees in Communication and Marketing, where she played College Soccer. Lindsay met her husband Nathan at Knollwood, and they are parents to four beautiful daughters: Colette, Gretta, Mabelle, and Scarlett.
Traci was appointed Membership Director of Knollwood Country Club in October 2019. Traci comes to the Club with a history in competitive sports, sales, and customer hospitality. Before becoming the Membership Director of Knollwood, she was the Vice President of Sales at Odiz Safety. Traci holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in Sports Medicine, Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology while playing Division 1A Basketball. Traci is a Granger native who played four years of varsity basketball at Penn High School.
Traci and her fiancé, Joe, live in Granger and have four children. When Traci is not at the Club, she enjoys golf, pickleball, tennis, and attending various local sporting events. Traci is excited about the future of Knollwood and getting to know all of its current and future members.

Email Stephanie LeDonne
Stephanie was born in Mishawaka and has spent the last 22 years in Granger. She attended Indiana University and received a degree in Office Management and Dental Assisting. Stephanie was a stay at home Mom for 15 years and then went back to work in Sales with Nabisco, Kelloggs, and then with Redbox before starting at Knollwood in 2019 as the Assistant Membership Director. When not working, she enjoys spending her time with her children. Stephanie is very excited about the future of the Club and working with all the Current and New Members.
Kayzie is a Granger, IN native who grew up at Knollwood Country Club. She has seen the transformation of the club over the last 20+ years. She join the club with a wealth of marketing and event management knowledge. Her background is in Heath Care Marketing, Public Relations, Internal Communications, and Event Management. Kayzie spent three years as the Internal Communications and Marketing Manager at a health informatics company in South Bend. She considered her move to Knollwood a move “home” because of her connection to the club. Kayzie brings a “fun” and “new” approach to social events and marketing tactics she has in her knowledge bank.
Kayzie Graduated from Ball State University where she met her Husband, Andrew. She loves spending time with her husband and their two Chow Chow’s, Sushi and Sake. She also enjoys training and completing Ironman Triathlons and loves cycling on her bright pink triathlon bike. She has a passion for swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 miles, and finishing with a 26.2 mile run. Some people think she is “crazy” but she thinks it’s just a way to stay motivated.
Denise comes to Knollwood after she recently "retired" after 23 years as the Director of Booking and Event Operations at the Morris Performing Arts Center in Downtown South Bend. Denise went to Venue Management School in Oglebay West Virginia and graduated in 1997 when she earned her my Certified Venue Manager designation with the International Association of Venue Managers in 2016.
She was born and raised in South Bend and is proud graduate of Riley High School. In her free time she enjoys spending time with my husband Tim, our cat Mel, and two dogs, Lucy and Winnie. They love to watch the Chicago Cubs. Gardening, cooking, collecting cookbooks and reading and so much more!! Denise and her husband are the proud parents of 2 boys Lucas and Alex. Lucas and his husband Luke who live in Madison, WI while Alex lives in China teaching English to children with their wonderful daughter in law, Abrah.

Bob Herbert brings more than 30 years of Hospitality Management experience and knowledge to the leadership team at Knollwood Country Club. His background spans from managing prestigious food service operations in New York City to various popular casual dining restaurants featuring Tex-Mex, Regional BBQ and Italian Dining. Beginning his career working as an apprentice chef in an Atlantic City, New Jersey Casino, he went on to graduate at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. Bob matured his management style working for Chili’s Grill and Bar in Virginia, Kentucky and Alabama. Recognized for his hard driving spirit with his achievements in three start up concepts Famous Dave’s BBQ, Tia’s Tex Mex and Gianni’s Little Italy. Bob has held positions as General Manager, Area Director and Director of Restaurant Support. Bob is experienced with opening restaurants, mentoring and building strong teams, delivering quality food and service experiences.
Outside of work, Bob spends most of his time with his family. Married to his wife Marcy for 21 years. Bob and Marcy have three children Gavin, Grayson and Molly, two dogs, a cat and an African Clawed Frog. Aside of Bob’s passion for the hospitality business Bob is an accomplished sailor and an avid racquetball player. Bob believes there are two rules to life. Number One: Never quit and Number Two don’t forget rule number one.

Rhonda has been with Knollwood Country Club since 2000. She started as a Youth Program Coordinator, moved to the swim department as the Aquatics Director, and became the Athletic Director.
Rhonda has multiple degrees from Indiana University-South Bend in Business Administration, Elementary Education, and General Studies and is also a Certified Pool Operator. Rhonda is energetic, friendly and always available.
Rhonda is married, with three children, and feels that "fitness is important at all stages of life".

Kim Moore is a Class “A” PGA Golf Professional from Ft. Wayne, IN with over 12 years of teaching and coaching experience. Kim is the current Head Women’s Golf Coach at Saint Mary’s College. Before coming to Saint Mary’s College and Knollwood Country Club, Moore served as an Assistant Golf Professional at Colonial Oaks Golf Club in Ft. Wayne, IN as well as Elcona Country Club in Bristol, IN. She also became the Director of Instruction at SRT Prosthetics and Orthotics in Indianapolis, specializing in teaching golf to those with disabilities.
Moore also has extensive playing experience. She graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2003. At the University of Indianapolis she played all 4 years on the varsity golf program. She was a 4-time All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honoree and was the conference’s individual runner-up in 2002. Additionally, Moore played on the Women’s Golf Professional “Symetra Tour” for 3 years. She has also won the United States Women’s National Amputee Golf Championships 13 years in-a-row.

Shelly has been the Head Tennis Professional and Director of Tennis at Knollwood Country Club since 1984 and with the South Bend Racquet Club since 1998. She became a teaching professional in 1980 and a USPTA member in 1984. Shelly was an Indiana High School State Champion in 1975 at South St. Joseph High School and was voted to the Indiana Tennis Hall of Fame in 1997 and South Bend Community Tennis Association Hall of Fame in 2010. She played college tennis at Western Kentucky University. Shelly currently holds over 30 Metro Championship Tennis Titles.
Her love for the game has been shown all through the community. She is still active in the game and has recently been a member of the National 4.5 women's team in 2015.

Originally from Warsaw, Indiana, Matt began his golf career a little later than most in the industry. Matt did not start playing golf until he was in college, but quickly realized that the golf industry was where he wanted to be. He picked up the game quickly and has loved it ever since. Matt attended Grace College in Winona Lake, IN where he gained his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. He has worked at three other places before landing here at Knollwood. He started as an Assistant Professional in Warsaw at Raccoon Run Golf Course before moving to the Granger area where he worked as an Assistant Professional at Morris Park for six years. Most recently he was the Head Golf Professional at Meadow Valley Golf Club in Middlebury, IN. Matt was there from 2014-2017. Matt joined the Knollwood team as the Head Golf Professional in May of 2018. His passion for golf and people is what makes him look forward to coming to work every day.
Matt is married to his wife Jessica since July 23, 2005. They have three children, Jordan, Cameron, and Logan. When Matt is not at the Club, he enjoy spending time and making memories with his family.

Originally from Goshen, IN, I picked up golf when I was 13. To play as much as possible, I began picking the range for my local golf course to hit balls for free. I've worked at five total golf courses and clubs; however, this is my first stop making a career out of it. I have been with Knollwood since 2016 and the Assistant Golf Pro since the beginning of 2017. I started my college career at Marian University and transferred to IU South Bend while completing my accounting degree. During my time, I played golf for four years. During my free time, I enjoy playing golf with Matt Krallman, the head pro, or some of the members, lifting and playing basketball.
Jonathon Oppenheim comes to the Club with a wealth of knowledge in Golf Course Maintenance. Jon has over 14 years worth of experience at several golf courses throughout the Michiana region: Morris Park Country Club, South Bend Country Club and most recently Juday Creek as their Golf Course Superintendent. Jon was born and raised in the South Bend area. He attended Saint Joseph’s High School and Holy Cross College. He has a degree in Golf Course Turf Management from Rutgers University.
When Jon is not at Knollwood he loves spending quality time with his wife Samantha and his dogs Bentley and Lewis. This fall Jon and Samantha are expecting their first child!! IT'S A GIRL!! He enjoys watching Notre Dame football, Chicago Bears and anything golf related. Jon has a passion for the game of golf and this is what ultimately brought him to where he is today!!

Wayne has been involved in Golf Course Operations for over 40 years having worked at four different courses during that time. He began at Wyndwicke Country Club in St Joseph, MI while in high school and eventually become the superintendent there. From there he moved to Indian Lake Golf Hills in Eau Claire MI where he was the superintendent and was instrumental in building the final nine holes of this course making it a 27- hole course. From there he went to The Oaks in St Joseph MI as a superintendent making that course one of the premier golf courses in the area. Following that he came to Knollwood Country Club and has been the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for 18 years working side by side of the Superintendent taking care of day to day operations to maintain this course.
Wayne has been married to his wife Jan for 33 years and resides in Benton Harbor MI with her and their dog Rocky, his best pal. They have one daughter, Anita and a son-in law Tanner who live in Dowagiac.
Brad comes to Knollwood with 19 years of being a Maintenance professional in multi-family housing to owning his own business. His knowledge of the Maintenance makes him invaluable to the Knollwood team.
Brad has two wonderful children, his daughter Montanna who is 11 and his son Grant who is 6. When not at work Brad loves being outdoors and upgrading golf carts. His true passion can be found in being very active in his kids sports. He loves the Chicago White Sox and the Green Bay Packers and of his favorite movies of all-time movies is Caddyshack!! He loves vacationing with his kiddos and one of his favorite vacation spots is Tennessee which hopefully be where he goes when he retires!!
