Jim Johnson

Jim graduated with a B.S. in business from Ferris State University, in Big Rapids, Michigan. He served as the head golf professional at Grand Traverse Resort, in Traverse City, Michigan from 1990 to 1993.

In 1993 Jim became the head golf professional at West Shore Golf and Country Club in Michigan.  There he served the membership for 14 years. In November 2006 he accepted the position of General Manager at Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club. Jim also held the GM positions at Prestwick Country Club in Chicago and Golden Valley Country Club in Golden Valley.

He currently resides in Plymouth with his wife Lori and three boys.

Matt Renner is originally from West Bend, Wisconsin. After graduating from The Golf Academy of America, in 2007, he went back to Wisconsin to work at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits. A few years later he relocated to Peachtree City, GA to work at Flat Creek Country Club and Planterra Ridge Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional.In the spring of 2014 he transitioned into a Membership Director role at The Clubs of Peachtree City. He would later move on to White Oak and Canongate I Golf Clubs. He also spent eight months at Bermuda Run Country Club in North Carolina before returning to White Oak and Canongate I. His hobbies include attending concerts, watching sports and traveling to play golf.

Bridget Eckert

Bridget joins the team at Medina Golf & Country Club with over 25 years of Hospitality Experience. Her most recent position as the Premium Service & Catering Sales Manager at TCF Bank Stadium was a brief but exciting detour from her 15 year Private Club career. Bridget held both sales and operations positions at some of the top clubs in Minnesota including Lafayette Club, Spring Hill Golf Club, Interlachen Country Club and Hazeltine National Golf Club. After completing her B.S. in Golf Enterprise Management at the University of Wisconsin, Stout, she furthered her professional development by obtaining her CCM designation and then went on to graduate from the University of St. Thomas with her Executive MBA.

Bridget lives with her husband Jason and their two kids, Tyler and Shelby in Waverly where they try to squeeze in as much outside time as they can between their children’s sports and school activities.

Toby Niccum

Toby Robert Niccum graduated from Ottawa Township High School in 1997. He attended and graduated from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois in 2001 with a degree in Psychology and minors in Sociology and Communications. Toby played football and rugby in college and was named to the Illini- Badger All Conference Team for the Aurora Spartans. Toby has worked in the Golf/Club business for 20 years with American Golf, Eagle Golf, Concert Golf Partners and ClubCorp. Originally from Illinois, he joined ClubCorp in 2012 as the Food and Beverage Director of Piedmont Golf Club in Haymarket, VA. Toby then moved to Indiana as the Food and Beverage Director to oversee a reinvention at Knollwood Country Club in 2013. In 2014 Toby was promoted to General Manager of Knollwood Country Club. He joined the team November 1st as Operations Manager. Toby is married with three little girls.

Stephanie Fuoss

Stephanie comes to us from Downtown Resource Group where she has been responsible for planning, promoting, organizing, and executing a variety of fun events for the company’s clients. Stephanie has experience in the private club and golf business having spent time working at Hazeltine and Bemidji T&CC. Stephanie is excited to bring her passion for event planning here to Medina to lead the team’s efforts to continuously enhance the member experience. Stephanie will be focusing on developing an exciting year-round calendar of programs to help you stay connected to your club all year long.

When Stephanie's not working, you can find her cruising the lakes in her families boat, gardening, renovating her house, cooking, and any kind of outdoor activity she can make time for.

Carol Koch

Carol grew up in South Dakota. She attended Northern State   University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She later graduated from Metropolitan University in Minneapolis with a BA in Marketing and Business. Carol spent her career at US West and later retired from Century Link Communications. She joined the Medina team in 2011. Most days, you can find Carol at the front desk   assisting members and co-workers with everything under the sun. Carol resides in Maple Grove, Minnesota. She is a proud grandmother of five grandsons and loves spending her time with family and friends.

Steve Fessler

Steve has been a PGA Head Professional in the Northwest Suburbs since 1991. He grew up in Rochester MN and completed his College Education at Hamline University. Steve been on the Minnesota PGA Board since 2000 and was the President of the MN PGA in 2015-2016. He is currently an Officer of the MN Section through 2018. Steve has been recognized in Golf Digest every year since 2004 as a Top 10 Teacher in MN, as well as a winner of PGA Awards Top Junior Leader and a Hortan Smith Award winner. His passions include playing and teaching golf and spending time with his son Trey.

Julian Ramirez

Julian is 27 years old and a Minnesota State Mankato Alumni. He grew up in Southern California and relocated to Minnesota in 2010 to play golf at MSU. He has worked at 3 different clubs since entering the business; Riverwood National, StoneRidge Golf Club, and now proudly Medina Golf & Country Club.  His hobbies include fishing and the outdoors, but the truth is golf is his life.  Julian has tallied up 14 professional wins and says his greatest achievement was PGA Assistant player of the year in 2015. 

At Medina, he really enjoys interacting with the members and running leagues and events.  Other than playing the course, his next favorite thing to do is teach. He says the greatest part of his job is watching a junior golfer fall in love with the wonderful game of golf. He looks forward to getting to know all of the Medina Golf & Country Club Members.

Kurt Wacker

Born and raised 15 miles from the Club in St. Michael. I received my AAS degree from Anoka Technical College in Turfgrass Management and followed that with a BA degree from the University of Minnesota-Crookston.  Kurt started at Medina in 2014 as the Technician for Golf Course Maintenance.  Moved to Assistant Superintendent in 2016 and was named Golf Course Superintendent in 2019.  I am married to my wife Brittany and have twin boys, Bennett and Beckett.  Outside of work I just enjoy being around family and friends, with an emphasis on my boys.

Scott has been a Tennis Director at Medina for 18 years. He has 43 years of Tennis teaching experience. Scott is a USPTA Professional 1 and has played for the University of Minnesota and North Dakota State University. Scott has a wife Rose and two children, Luke and Sophie.
