I was born and raised in West Bend, Wisconsin.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stout with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  I spent 11 years in the Hotel industry with Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in several cities including Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Kansas City and San Diego and was GM at 4 different full service hotels. 

I joined Club Corp in July of 2002.  For 4 years I was Resident Manager of Columbia Tower Club in Seattle, WA, then General Manager of  La Cima Club in Irving TX for 4 years and I have been the General Manager of the Metropolitan Club since 2009.  Recent Non Profit Boards I have served on include Board Chairman of the Irving Symphony Orchestra, the Greater Irving Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and currently a leader at our church’s Awana Children’s Ministry and the Missions Committee Chairman.

I have 4 children, Adam, 22 who works for Microsoft, Ethan 8, Will 6 and Matthew 4.  I have a beautiful wife of 12 years, Ruth.  Personal interests include biking, cooking, wine, reading and I do an occasional triathlon.

Melissa Czyz

Born and raised in Omaha, Melissa received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.  She always had a strong admiration for the city of Chicago, and made it her home in 2011.  

Melissa has an extensive background in sales, coming from the media and broadcasting industry. Melissa thrives on connecting others, which was a natural fit for her role as Membership Director at the Mid-America Club. Melissa is a resident in the Lakeshore East/New Eastside community and loves introducing fellow neighbors to the Club.  She also volunteers and serves on the Speakers Bureau for Selah Freedom.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys being with friends & family, attending wine tastings & traveling.  Her life would also not be complete without cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers & the Chicago Cubs!

Gina is an Ohio native growing up in the great city of Cleveland. She attended The Ohio State University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in football games. She started her career with ClubCorp in 2014 after a successful career with Morton's The Steakhouse and Carnivale Restaurant. When Gina is not at the Club she enjoys spending time with friends, her dog Nocchi, and rooting/weeping for all things Cleveland.

Samantha Michaeloff

Sam is a New York native, academically prepared by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a passion for Mid-Western hospitality. As the Private Event Director at the Mid-America Club, she has been able to create memorable events and experiences while providing outstanding customer service to all of her clients and Members. 

When she is not enjoying the view from the 80th floor of the Aon Center, she loves to explore Chicago's robust restaurant scene and indulge in her all-time favorite Realty TV Show; Survivor.

In her previous role as the Membership Director of The Metropolitan Club in the Willis Tower, Sam fostered connections and built relationships with strong business leaders and professionals in Chicago’s esteemed business community.

Michael Pivoney

Chef Michael Pivoney began by working his way up through the hospitality industry in the early years of his life.  He began as a bus boy and eventually worked his way up to corporate trainer for the front of the house at Bally’s restaurant division. Chef Pivoney went on to attend the Washburn Culinary Institute.  While at Washburn, he was instrumental in the opening of Hotel Sofitel O’Hare, where he received formal training and was quickly promoted to Chef De Rang. Once a graduate from Washburn, he accepted a position with the Walt Disney World Resorts and relocated to Orlando, FL, where he became part of the culinary team that opened Disney’s first five star resort The Grand Floridian. From there, Chef Pivoney accepted a Chef’s position at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

In 2001,  Michael returned to Chicago and oversaw the signature restaurant for Sheraton Hotel Chicago.  He then was asked to be a part of the opening team for Hyatt San Antonio, TX. Chef Pivoney was then recruited for the opening team at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Remaining with the same company, Chef Pivoney moved to San Juan where he opened EL Conquistador. Wanting to be closer to home, Chef  Michael took a position as corporate Executive Chef for The Signature Room in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to the Signature Room, he also owned and operated his own Cheese and Wine Shop. Chef Pivoney has a host of other acclaims including having been the Chef for Chicago’s Sister Cities and a Les Disciples d’Escouffier.

Currently, Chef Pivoney is the Executive Chef at The Mid America Club on the 80th floor of the Aon Center in downtown Chicago, IL.
