Jeff Schauer

Jeff came to the Nicklaus Golf Club with a wealth of experience and expertise in the golf industry with significant hotel and food and beverage experience. Jeff is a graduate of Bismarck State College in Bismarck, ND. Throughout his career, Jeff has been very successful in building high quality teams that have supported a positive Club experience for its Members. He has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to have a positive relationship and partnership with his team and the Members that they serve. Jeff has been with the ClubCorp family since 2007 and with the Nicklaus Golf Club for 9 years. Jeff currently lives in Overland Park, Kansas with his wife Deb and two daughters Erin and Sarah.

I am originally from Chicago. I am an avid sports fan and love the Cubs, Blackhawks and of course my Jayhawks. I wanted to expand my horizons after high school and decided to leave the state of Illinois and attend the University of Kansas.  After college I joined the banking world for about 5 years then left and took a financial job for about 2-3 years. I decided to join Lionsgate Golf Club due to my passion for golf. If I am not with my wife or dog during my free time, you will find me at the range working on my laughable slice or playing a round of golf.

Fayette Jones

Fayette was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and spent most of her childhood growing up in Lexington, Kentucky.  She attended the University of Kentucky and managed a Hallmark shop until leaving Lexington. She married Dave in 2001, moved to Overland Park and began working at Nicklaus in August of 2001. During her tenure she has held several positions, front desk admin assistant, golf shop merchandiser, landing in the business office in 2005.  Fayette continues to run the office, and in addition is the assistant to Senior Vice President, Rich Nathan.

Aside from her everyday duties, during the summer she supports the Dolphins swim team on behalf of the Club.  The NGC Dolphins is run exclusively by the parents, as the Club liaison, Fayette helps to facilitate communication, organizations, swim meets and general support to the swim team parents.

Fayette and Dave reside in Overland Park with their two teenagers, Katie and Nick.

Jason LeFevre

Role: Executive Chef

Jason started his culinary career at the age of eighteen when he joined the United States Navy. After graduating first of his class in his naval culinary school, he received orders to become the personal chef for the Commander of the Sixth Fleet stationed in Gaeta, Italy. For the next five years he extensively traveled all over Europe and Africa preparing all styles of cuisine for the Commander and his guests while studying under several European chefs, and attending multiple culinary schools. During this time Jason met and prepared meals for multiple heads of state, celebrities, ambassadors and past US presidents. Jason also had the opportunity to work with the personal chef for President Ford on a nine day French and Italian Riviera cruise on his private yacht. After leaving Europe Jason had the opportunity to go to naval aircrew and flight school and eventually become the personal flight chef for the Secretary of the Navy.  Jason continued studying under well-known chefs is his travels all over the world with the Secretary, Congressman, Senators and other high ranking military leaders. In 2002 after eight years in the military Jason decided to resign his position and pursue his culinary career in the civilian world. After moving to Kansas City he attained another culinary degree at Johnson County Community College. He is an avid supporter of JCCC and has had numerous apprentices’ train and graduate underneath his instruction. Since then he has run multiple restaurants in the Kansas City area, including Union Station, Garmin International World Headquarters and the Carriage Club. He has been the current Executive Chef for The Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate since November 2010. He currently resides in Kansas City, Kansas with his daughter Cessilli.

Robert Russell

Role: Head Golf Professional

Robert joined the Nicklaus team in January 2016, since then he has completed the PGM Program and is a Class A PGA Professional! Robert attended the Kansas City Kansas Community College where he won the National Jr. College Championship.  He then went on to UMKC where he was a 2-time All-American.  He played professionally for 10 years, and played in the 1999 U.S. Open. As a member of the Midwest Section PGA, Robert was the leading money-earner in 2015.  He has been the Midwest Section PGA Player of the year for the last 2 years (2017 and 2018), playing in the last years Watson Challenge.  As Head Golf Professional, Robert oversees and is directly involved in all aspects of the golf operations, he resides in Overland Park and has been married for 17 years to his wife Tara.  They have two children, Lauren and Rhett.

Skyler Arbuckle

Role: Assistant Golf Professional

Skyler previously worked at Fred Arbanas Golf Course (Longview) for 7 seasons. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a degree in marketing, management, and human resource. Skyler looks to continue his education, and is starting the PGA’s PGM Program.  Hailing from Lee’s Summit, Skyler is looking forward to the opportunity to work with all ages and levels of golfers. He was a three-sport athlete growing up before switching to golf full-time. He played golf in high school and while in college at Central Missouri and Missouri Southern. Skyler is involved in Junior Golf Programming, PeeWee Golf, Couples Golf, Lady Bug, as well as other golf related operations.

Brittany Wise

Role: Member Relations Coordinator

Brittany attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri on a golf scholarship, earning her Bachelors of Art degree in Event and Convention Management. She enjoyed planning events as an active member of Kappa Delta sorority and Alpha Lambda Delta honor sorority. Graduating in December of 2017, she moved to the Kansas City area and started her training at the Kansas City Country Club. In April of 2018, she accepted the position of Banquet and Events Manager at Hallbrook Country Club, and joined the ClubCorp family in February of 2019 as Membership Relations Coordinator at the Nicklaus Golf Club.

Jacob Rockhold

Role: Head Superintendent

Jacob holds an Associate of Arts degree as well as a Bachelors of Plant Science in Turf-grass Management degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He has extensive experience in turf-grass management, and has a strong history with courses within the Missouri and Kansas area. He comes to us from Stone Canyon Golf Club where he spent the last 4 years as the Head Superintendent.

Stephanie Young
