Our Entry Level and Academy programs for children are designed to help players of all levels learn and enjoy the sport of tennis. Oak Tree is well equipped to take a child through the tennis developmental progression – starting with teaching the proper fundamentals and techniques to preparing them physically and mentally for Sectional and National competition. The staff is highly knowledgeable in USTA programming and competition. In addition, we strive to partner with parents to build the character that leads to a lifetime of success both on and off the court.
Every journey begins with that first step and Oak Tree tennis programs are committed to making that first experience for your child a positive and memorable one. Entry level students that are ages 10 or under can jump right into our programming. We offer clinics in red, orange and green ball for children ages 5-10. Students who are older but do not have much tennis experience will most likely want to start with some private lessons so that one of our teaching staff can assess where they are developmentally and work on any mechanics that need fine tuning before they move on to our Academy clinics.
Oak Tree’s Junior Academy program has a rich tradition of producing top competitive players at the state, section and national level. Players who desire to compete at any level will find the training they need within our Junior Academy. The program teaches proper fundamentals, mental toughness, match strategy, fitness and nutrition, as well as the character qualities a young player needs in order to be a competitor on and off the court. Juniors who are currently enrolled in the program have access to free indoor walk-on court time.
