Bob began his career in the golf business over 30 years ago in Michigan and has enjoyed the opportunities that the game he loves has afforded him. His previous golf experience includes Director of Golf at Sun City Hilton Head, The Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona and stints at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Bob graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Golf Management and has been a Class A Member of the PGA of America since 1994.

John Ronis

John Ronis has been teaching in the Middle Atlantic Section for over 20 years. He is well known for his development of junior golfers, who have played in over 10 USGA National Championships, including Match Play portions of those events. His service oriented approach and calm demeanor makes his teaching fun and enjoyable for all levels of players. His simplistic approach, and use of cutting edge technology has yielded results for thousands of students.

John played his collegiate golf at The University of Connecticut, where he was a four year starter and 3 year captain.

John is co host of "Sunday Tee Time" with Steve Czaban, on ESPN 980 and "The Capitol Golf Gang" podcast.

Ramon has been with River Creek Club for 12 years now. He started with River Creek as a banquet server and moved his way up to a dining room server, bartender, restaurant supervisor and we are excited to have promoted him to his current position as a Food & Beverage Manager. Ramon is extremely passionate about the member experience and works diligently on improving our standards of service for our team and members. Outside of work Ramon loves spending time with his family and friends.

Chef Daniel Leal’s career has literally taken him across the country. As a former “Chef to the Stars,” he has planned and prepared menus for a long list of some of America’s most popular entertainers-- Justin Bieber, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Weezer, Dolly Parton, SlipKnot, Lamb of God, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Flight of the Conchords, Marilyn Manson, Garrison Keillor and the cast of “A Prairie Home Companion.” He has also been “Festival Chef” for such acclaimed music festivals as Gentleman of the Road and Carolina Rebellion.
When asked about the reasons he enjoyed traveling with and cooking for musicians, he explained, “I loved being able to use fresh, local ingredients from so many different areas of the country. I also enjoyed and grew from the challenges of having to adapt to the surroundings you find yourself in and on-the-fly menu planning.” And, he explained that, since the stars and road crew were constantly changing, so were the food needs and tastes that he had to respond to. “Their diets and food standards were always changing. On my last tour, I really enjoyed the challenge of preparing creative meals for a healthier, vegan and vegetarian crew.”
Those who work with Chef Daniel describe him as one of the hardest working men they’ve ever been around. But, across the board, the favorite qualities cited by colleagues are his ability to stay calm even on the busiest (often most stressful of days), his off-the-cuff sense of humor and, of course, the delightful culinary creations that come out of that creative “foodie” head of his.
Leal has honed his skills across numerous cuisines—Latin, French, Italian, Thai/Asian, Indian and American. Recently, at the country club where he previously worked, he created the Cuban menu for their very first “Sunset Havana Nights.” At that event, he told Members his grandparents came here from Cuba, and that “they were the ones who taught me to love and cook Cuban food.” He said the dishes he served that evening were ones he had cooked with them.
So, you may be wondering what brought Chef Daniel to Virginia? It’s a one-word answer—Lucian… a kind, funny, smart, almost-six-year old little boy who brings a smile to everyone he meets.
When asked what he enjoys most about being the Executive Chef at River Creek, Daniel doesn’t hesitate—“I really enjoy the personal, direct engagement with our Members who, by the way, are very supportive of our very talented staff.” He also enjoys the challenge of “creating new and different types of dishes, taking average food and bringing it to an elevated level.” And, he says he “gets a kick out of working with and coaching our kitchen team.” Chef Daniel is looking forward to creating even more themed dinners, wine pairings and special events at River Creek.

Melene Tolson

Melene has resided in Northern Virginia for the past 26 years. She joined River Creek Club in July 2017 as the Banquet Manager and after a year, was promoted to Private Events Coordinator. She graduated from George Mason in 2015 with a degree in Tourism and Events Management. During her time at George Mason, she interned with Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville, which inspired her love for wine. After her internship, she had the pleasure of working with the private events team at Clyde’s Restaurant Group in Ashburn. Melene currently lives in Ashburn with her parents. Other than her love for wine and exploring the growing NoVA wine country, she loves to find any excuse to be creative, spend time with her family and walk the hiking trails nearby. She looks forward to helping create memorable moments for your future events.

Matt Stillwagon

Matt grew up in Winchester where he started playing tennis with his brother at the age of 6. He moved to Leesburg, Va after graduating from the University of Richmond, where he was a four-year starter in both singles and doubles tennis.

Matt began his coaching career at Ida Lee Tennis Center in 2010, but most recently was the Head Professional at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion. There he helped coach multiple ladies USTA League teams to the national championships, and also found a passion for developing talent with junior players. He believes in a simple philosophy that can be applied to players of all ages and skill levels; Hard Work + Good Routines = SUCCESS!

Matt has been a part of two national championship USTA teams (10.0 mixed in 2017, and 9.0 mixed in 2018) and enjoys competing while expanding his skills and knowledge of the game tennis.
