Serving Since: 2020
Email Chris Cravotta

Chris was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany and learned the game of golf during his summers at Kingsmill Resort and Country Club in Williamsburg, Virginia. Chris attended Fork Union Military Academy (High School) and after deciding not to pursue a nomination to a service academy went to the College of Charleston and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany (Junior Year Abroad).

After college, Chris served in the United States Air Force. He was an Honor Graduate and Distinguished Graduate from his military training schools and was selected for promotion ahead of 90% of his peers. After his time in the military, Chris began his golf career at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fairfied, CA. He received most of his golf professional training at top private clubs in South Florida where he served as a Tournament Director and Assistant Golf Professional in the fast-paced, hustle and bustle of high-end Florida clubs.

As his career progressed, he moved to Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton and Hunters Run Golf and Racquet Club in Boynton Beach. Based on his expertise, Chris then was appointed as Head Golf Professional at Martin Downs Golf Club in Palm City. After starting a family and having the desire to be closer to their families, Chris and his family moved to Greenwood Country Club, where Chris served as Head Golf Professional. Following the longing to be at a bigger, more fast-paced club, Chris joined the team at The Peninsula Club in 2016 as their 1st Assistant Golf professional, where he has been instrumental in revitalizing the golf program, increasing member interaction and rebuilding the tournament program.

Chris and his wife and daughter reside in Davidson and look forward to becoming a part of River Run for many years to come.
