Jack is originally from Kodiak, Alaska. He graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where he met his wife Barbara as freshman in the orientation line and they have lived 28 years in south & north hills of Pittsburgh, raising four daughters, 3 of whom are in the Pittsburgh area and one in Vermont.
He has served as a General Manager/Regional Manager in ClubCorp for 30+ years (primarily in Pittsburgh at Rivers Club and Treesdale Golf & CC, with 4 years as Regional Director of F&B for ClubCorp Northeast in Tennessee sandwiched between). He began his career in the restaurant and fitness club industry with PepsiCo and Andrews Athletic Clubs in Virginia. He is a Certified Club Manager with CMAA (Honor Society) & Certified Hospitality Educator and has taught, practiced & achieved strong Employee Partner and Member Satisfaction results. He also was President of Rich-Mar Rotary in its 40th anniversary year and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He returned to Rivers Club to achieve a lease extension & club reinvention and is very proud to have accomplished both. He has served on several national committees in ClubCorp and has been the recipient of multiple ClubCorp individual & team national awards. He also was received the Pittsburgh Smart 50 Award in 2014 & 2015 and PRLA Restaurant Member of the year award in 2016.
Jim has been an Executive Chef with ClubCorp for over thirteen years. Working at two Business Club properties “The Land Mark Club” in Stamford CT and “The Club at Key Center” Cleveland OH before returning home to his family, Pittsburgh and The Rivers Club in 2004.
Prior to ClubCorp Jim spent ten years at the world class luxurious Four-Star Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa as Banquet Chef and Executive Sous Chef. In those roles Jim worked relentlessly to create the best private and social event experiences imaginable. Jim has had the privilege of creating dining experiences for some of the most distinguished companies and guests in the world.
In addition to his culinary skills he is an accomplished award winning ice sculpture and active member of the American Culinary Federation Pittsburgh Chapter.
Michele has lived in the Pittsburgh area all of her life growing up in Cranberry Township. After graduating from Westminster College with an English degree she started working as a server in a locally family owned restaurant. She quickly moved into the role of General Manager at DeVos Restaurant. In 2001 she started at Treesdale Golf and Country Club as a Dining Room Captain. Private events were always her passion and in 2005 she took the role of Private Events Director at Diamond Run Golf Club. Moving to The Club at Nevillewood in 2008 as the Banquet Sales Manager. Now excited to be “home” with Club Corp at the Rivers Club. Michele lives in Zelienople with her husband Tony and her two children Austin and Nicholas.
Amanda is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management. She started her career with Marriott in her hometown of Lancaster, PA. Wanting to advance her career she relocated to Fairfax, Virginia; where she was able to combine her skills and knowledge as a General Manager of a Hampton Inn by Hilton hotel in Manassas, Virginia.
After five years in Northern Virginia, Amanda, and her husband David, proudly moved back to their home state of Pennsylvania. Amanda has been serving ClubCorp Members since May 2012 and is excited to help you plan your private events at the Rivers Club.
Cliff began his hospitality career here at Rivers Club in the 1980's growing through the ranks to Service Director when Rivers Club was a top performer in ClubCorp. Since then he has worked for Quicksilver Golf Club, General Mills (Red Lobster) and was the Owner, Partner & General Manager for Catering for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. He is thrilled to be back at the helm of the service department to lead our service team.
Doug graduated in 2003 with a Masters Degree in Sport Science/ Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been working at the Rivers Club as a trainer since September 2005 and currently works as both a trainer and the Fitness Manager where he oversees all aspects on the club that relate to fitness. He has been involved with fitness on some level, i.e. participating in sports or personal fitness, for the past 21 years. Doug utilizes his knowledge and understanding of the human body to develop workouts specifically for his client’s fitness goals by incorporating both cardiovascular conditioning and strength training into the workouts.
Elaine began her Clubcorp tenure as Accounting Assistant at Treesdale Golf & Country Club in 1999. She was promoted to Director of Club Accounting in 2005, as Clubcorp began upgrading software and financial systems. In 2011, when Clubcorp restructured club accounting, Elaine decided to leave Treesdale. In 2015, she was excited to return to the Clubcorp family, as Office Administrator at Rivers Club, just in time for the Club’s Reinvention.
Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Elaine is a graduate of Robert Morris University. She lived in Little Rock, Arkansas for several years, and worked at Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts. She has accounting and management experience in several different industries. She is involved in her community, serving as Borough Treasurer, and is on the board of her local volunteer fire service. Elaine is married to Gary, and enjoys spending time at the lake with their adult children and dog, Bandit.
