Born and raised in New England, Chapman moved to Northern California in 2005 with his family, Debbie and son Chapman Jr. Chapman has been a Golf Professional for 19 years and a Class “A” Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America for 13 years. He is a Graduate of Mitchell College in New London, CT and began his career in the golf industry in 1996.

Prior to Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, Chapman’s employment includes 10 years as the Associate Golf Professional at Mayacama Golf Club, Mariner Sands Country Club, Lost Tree Club, Madison Country Club and The Tournament Players Club at River Highlands.

Chapman’s expertise in the areas of retail merchandising, club fitting, management, tournament operations, junior golf, and in particular golf instruction has been instrumental in providing an exceptional golf experience to both members and guests. He looks forward to contributing to the Club’s long history as the original golf club in Santa Rosa and the traditions established by generations of families.

Chapman is certified in Golf Mechanics through the Titleist Performance Institute (Level III), K-Vest (Level II), and certification in Golf Operations in the PGA of America’s Certification Program. He shares his passion for the game with others through his teaching and playing.

Mark Quintel

Mark serves as the coordinator of the Men’s Business league on Tuesdays, the Nine Hole Women, and Women’s Evening Golf League (WEGL) on Thursdays. In 1989, while pitching for Sonoma State University, Mark was signed by the SF Giants and played two seasons of professional baseball for the Pocatello (single A) Giants.

After baseball, Mark changed to golf turning Professional in 1999 and has been teaching for the past 7 years. He is currently enrolled in the PGA apprenticeship GPTP program having completed level 1. His teaching philosophy is based on having a firm basic fundamental golf swing. Building a solid foundation is the key to a consistent golf swing, lower scores and making the game more enjoyable. Mark enjoys the challenge of teaching low handicappers, but works with a variety of players. Mark is a certified club fitter and Cleveland Golf advisory staff member.

Recent golf achievements include:
