In joining our team at Southern Trace, Patrick brings with him over twenty years of experience working in the golf and hospitality industry. A native of Abilene, Texas, Patrick graduated from Abilene Christian University, where he studied broadcasting and played golf collegiately for the ACU Wildcats. His first experience in the golf & hospitality industry involved working in outside service at Abilene Country Club while still in high school, and during his professional career he has served as both Head Golf Professional and General Manager at several historic facilities in the south and southwest. Patrick arrives at Southern Trace from Georgetown Country Club in north Austin, where he most recently served as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
A proud member of the PGA of America, Patrick has a passionate desire to consistently enhance the membership experience at Southern Trace. Accompanied by his wife, Dawn, and their four-year old daughter, Kira, he is excited to call Shreveport home.

Email Hayley Smith
Hayley Smith serves as Membership Director for Southern Trace Country Club. She is a Shreveport native, and her history with Southern Trace goes back to childhood, where she first experienced the benefits of Club life through her family’s membership. Later, she received a behind-the-scenes look at the inner-workings of Southern Trace while serving as a lifeguard at the pool, and also working in Trace Kids as a childcare supervisor.
Hayley went on to attend Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. After college, she worked as a sales executive in Dallas and Shreveport, before returning to Southern Trace as the Club’s Membership Director.
Hayley has a passion for building relationships and enriching others’ lives. She enjoys meeting new people and is excited to help new members, young and old, find their home away from home at Southern Trace Country Club.
Stevie was born and raised in Shreveport, LA and started playing tennis at the age of nine. While attending Captain Shreve High School, he experienced two successful careers playing both soccer and tennis. After playing soccer at University of Lousiana Lafayettee, Stevie transferred to LSU Shreveport and was integral in starting the schools first tennis team.
Prior to Southern Trace, Stevie taught tennis at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club and become the Club's Director in 2004. While at POTC he was the Tournament Director for the prestigious USTA Intersectional 16's National Championships. The event was named Louisiana and Southern "Tournament of the Year" multiple times. Also at POTC, Stevie taught many top ranked juniors including Ryan and Christian Harrison. In September of 2013 Stevie joined the Southern Trace tennis staff as Director. He brings a dynamic style of teaching and programming to an already vibrant tennis membership. Stevie is USPTA certified and still enjoys playing League tennis and tournaments.

Southern Trace’s Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf Operations since 2006, Nathan Barrow began his career in the industry in 1993 and has been a PGA Member for over 20 years. Nathan is a past recipient of the Gulf States PGA President's Award in recognition of his efforts to grow the game and institute new player development programs. He is a Certified Callaway Golf Fitter, and has achieved a Level 1 Certified Golf Fitness Instructor Certification from the Titleist Performance Institute. He is passionate about helping others improve and enjoys teaching golfers of all skill levels. Nathan loves to play with members and help them get the most from their game. He recognizes the importance of having the right equipment, course strategy, focusing on the correct stats and physical fitness and how each one of these areas are important to lowering scores. Nathan and his wife Jenny, married since 1995, are the parents of Caroline, Jackson and Carson.
