Meet the Golf Staff

Steve Hatch

Role: Director of Golf
Serving Since: 2017

Steve is a dedicated Golf Professional with 32 years in the hospitality industry.
His professional career has been set up through a very supportive family life and a love for the game of golf. He played competitively in junior golf tournaments, his high school team (Trinity High School) in Euless, TX, and as a four-year, golf scholarship player at The University of Texas at Arlington.
His wife, Stephanie, is his best friend. They met when they were eleven years old, and have been married for 26 years. They are incredibly fortunate to have two beautiful daughters, Lauren (19), whom attends The University of North Texas, and Victoria (Tori) (16) a Junior in high school. They are his driving force and have allowed Steve to pursue his dreams of being a Golf Professional.
Steve feels very blessed to have collaborated with many wonderful people throughout his career: Four Seasons Resort and Club under (Scott Erwin, Cliff Bailey, Jim Bellington, and Mike Abbott-produced 3 PGA Merchandiser of the Year awards); Brook Hollow Golf Club (Robert Hoyt-a Houston Cougar, and Jerry D. Smith); St. James Bay (Eddie Clark – owner, dreamer, believer, achiever); Horseshoe Bay Resort (Glenn Lee-predecessor, and Mike Abbott). All of these people and places have developed and prepared Steve to be a part of the Kingwood family, and he is looking forward to another wonderful experience.
