What: Beer of the Month Club

Where: Fireside Patio (weather permitting) or Clubhouse
Description: Come join your fellow Members for a different monthly beer offering. Have you ever wanted to know more about beer but were unsure how to start? This would be a great way to meet your fellow Members, enjoy some good conversation and learn a little more of an educational component about what makes up beer. What: The Woodside Birders
When: Due to the seasonal nature of this group, please contact Jackie Dulworth for meeting dates and times.
Description: The birders will look, listen and learn our local birds as we walk (not hike) in nearby parks and recreation areas. The group will compile a seasonal bird species list for our Woodside neighborhood. We will monitor our backyard birds and can represent our area of Aiken County by participating in several national bird counting events. When: 2nd and 4th Wednesday
Time: 5:00 PM (Bocce Ball at the Village) & 7:30 PM (Dinner at the Club)
Where: The Village Bocce Ball Courts
Description: Join us at the Village Bocce Ball Courts for a fun night out of playing and connecting with fellow Members. This group is for anyone who wants a night out for some fun competition and optional dinner after. Please call 803.649.3383 to sign up to participate in this club.

What: Bridge: Duplicate
When: 2nd and 4th Thursday of the Month
Time: 7:00 PM
Where: Palmetto Room
Description: This duplicate bridge group is for those who wish to bring their game to the next level. Singles will be paired if two or more singles sign up. Play will begin at 7:00 p.m. The fourth Thursday will feature pre-dealt hands with Hand Records for those who wish to analyze their play. What: Christian Men’s Fellowship
When: Fridays
Time: 7:30 AM
Where: Charleston Room
Description: The club offers men the opportunity to meet in an open, non threatening atmosphere to discuss their questions or beliefs pertaining to biblical teachings and principles. Men helping other men grow spiritually and the opportunity to socially interact with other Club Members is a proven benefit. Plan on joining us soon. It is time well spent and its likely you will run into one of your neighbors.

What: Come Paint With Me
When: Fridays (4 week group)
Time: 9:00 AM– 12:00 PM
Where: Palmetto Room
Description: Let’s create some accidental masterpieces together! This four week introduction to acrylic painting will explore the topics of color mixing, perspective, texture and constructing detail. Each week we’ll focus on one project. Instruction will be provided to beginning artists and experienced artists are also welcome to enjoy companionship with fellow dabblers. Participants will come with their own supplies (available at clubhouse’s front desk) and leave with a “piece of art.”

What: Euchre Night at the Club
When: 3rd Thursday
Time: 7:00 PM
Where: Palmetto Room
Description: Euchre is a fairly simple card game because you only have five cards per hand. Players should have a basic understanding of the game, but those interested in learning are welcome to look over someone’s shoulder until they pick up on the rules. Players will rotate after four hands to enable you to meet more people. Specific rules will be determined by the host of the evening. Please call 803.649.3383 to sign up to participate in this club.

What: Ladies Golf Association
When: Thursday and/or Saturday Mornings
Cost: $45 annual fee
Description: The Ladies Golf Association, also known as the 18-holers, plays on Thursday mornings. An alternative play day for ladies who are still working is Saturday. This year-long league features fun games and competitive play. All handicap levels are welcome. Contact a new member coordinator for more information on how to sign up and play in this fun league. Must have a golf Membership to participate.

Cost: $35 annual fee
Description: This organization provides organized competition for men, camaraderie among its members and the opportunity to meet, play and compete with players of all skill levels outside of your regular playing groups. Must have a golf Membership to participate.

What: Niners
When: Thursdays
Cost: $50 annual fee
Description: The Woodside Plantation Nine Hole Ladies Golf Association (Niners) is a group of women golfers of all skill levels. We play nine holes each Thursday, offering a fun experience on the course and lasting friendships off the course. Must have a golf Membership to participate.

What: The Good Cigar
When: One Thursday a Month (Will end for the season in December)
Cost: Will vary with provided cigar selection and optional food/drink selections
Description: Come join us on the patio for an evening celebrating the art of cigar smoking and good conversation, where we will sample a hand selected fine cigar each month. Food and drink specials and will also be available to complete the evening. A reservation is required for each gathering-please call 803.649.3383 to sign up to participate.

  • October 11th - Pat Williams will open up his cigar collection with a variety of cigars for us to choose from.
  • November 8 - We are planning to have a cookout in conjunction with the beer-tasting club, which will feature burgers and brats on the grill outside. We will also have a Bourbon tasting to compliment the meal. This event will be by reservation only and we will need to have a minimum number of sign ups to have this dinner event.

The cigar we will be featuring that night is a Gilberto Oliva Reserva 6x50, that was recently rated a “90” in Cigar Aficionado magazine.
 
What: Hitchcock Woods Hiking Group
When: Saturdays
Time: 10:00 AM
Where: Meet at the WPCC Main Entrance and Car Pool to the Woods
Description: This group will hike in Hitchcock Woods three times a month, at a time when horse riding is at its peak. The fourth week we will join the Woodside hiking group set up under the WPPOA. Please call 803.649.3383 to sign up to participate in this club.

Description: Love to knit or crochet? Want to learn? Anyone who cross stitches or needlepoints is also welcome! If any of these pertain, then this is the group for you. What: Open Table for Solo Diners

Description: We have created a dining experience where solo men and women diners can feel comfortable dining at the Club and mingling with like Members. We welcome all solo diners. We have established the Open Table for Solo Diners which will meet twice a month for dinner and conversation.
 
What: Pickleball -Ladies’
When: Mondays
Time: 3:00 PM
Description: Come for the play, stay for the laughs. This number one growing sport has come to Woodside. Ladies of all levels, even if you’ve never played before, are welcome for this drop-in play.

Description: Woodside men gather to play and heckle. Social time follows. Drop-ins are welcome.

Description: Join the fun playing the fastest growing sport in the US! Casual pickleball play for ladies and gentlemen of all levels. Local clubs alternate as hosts with play followed by food, drink and socializing. Contact the Jeanne Warczyglowa to sign up!
