Firestone Country Club has some of the finest 54 holes of golf in the country. Couple that with the outstanding hospitality of the entire staff and you will see why the ClubCorp Two Person Best Ball event has become a favorite among members of ClubCorp Clubs.
Walk the footsteps of legends as you and your partner play the South Course with a forecaddie, the North Course and the West Course during the 4 days of golf during this event. Teams may be Member/Member or Member/Guest playing in the Open division (Under 55) or the Senior Division (age at least 55 plus index to equal a minimum of 65). Both Divisions are flighted by combined handicap indexes of both team players. Daily on-course competition winners receive gift certificates to the pro shop.
The South Course - designed by Bert Way in 1929, redesigned by Robert Trent Jones in 1960 and renovated in 1985 by Golforce, a Jack Nicklaus company, is best known for its legendary history of tour tournament play. The “Monster Hole” as named by the late Arnold Palmer, after he triple-bogeyed the hole knocking himself out of contention during the 1960 PGA event. Robert Trent Jones extended the hole 625 yards and added a pond in front of the green. Today with the same hole being extended to 667 feet, the course is relentlessly challenging.
The North Course - designed by Robert Trent Jones and opening in 1969, is noted for the scenic beauty of its’ lakes and streams and was designed to showcase the natural beauty of Firestone Country Club terrain. A member favorite.
The West Course – is a links-style course redesigned by Tom Fazio in 2001 and is built around the perimeter of the South Course. With the addition of the West Course, Firestone now has the finest 54-holes of golf of any private club in the country.
