About Blake

Blake is the GM of April Sound Country Club. Blake moved to The Woodlands area in 2008 from Las Vegas where he was managing Las Vegas National Golf Club to join the Invited team. Blake has managed multiple courses in North Houston including Willow Creek, Hearthstone Country Club, The Golf Trails of The Woodlands and The Clubs of Kingwood. Blake Roberts joined the April Sound team from The Clubs of Kingwood, where he was General Manager from 2017 to 2020. Blake helped rebuild Kingwood after Hurricane Harvey destroyed the Club’s facilities. He joined the Club just five days before the hurricane hit, requiring him to take on not just running the Club, but also successfully managing a two-year, $50 million reconstruction project. Blake’s 22-year career includes managing both public and private golf clubs. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he studied Agricultural Business. Blake is a proud husband to wife, Michelle, and a proud father to his children, Connor and Cassidy.

About Joshua

Joshua graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. He joined the Invited family in 2014 and has held various positions including Service Director, Director of Sports & Fitness, and Food & Beverage Director. He enjoys golf and spending time outside with his wife and three daughters.

About Kevin

Kevin joined with Invited February 2023 as the Director of Food and Beverage at Willow Creek Golf Club. He has well over 10 years in the Food and Beverage Industry. He has served as a Restaurant General Manager, Lead Bartender, and Mixologist in multiple locations in California. Before joining the F&B industry, Kevin served 8 years as a United States Navy Corpsman.

About James

Jimmy discovered his love for the culinary world at a very young age at his great grandmother’s house picking fresh vegetables from the garden and helping prepare the evening meal.“I still love the sound of snapping fresh green beans; it takes me straight back to my past and time spent in my childhood with my Granny Engle. We would go down to the garden right after breakfast and pick beans and whatever other vegetables were ready.  We would then sit watching her soap operas cleaning and snapping the beans to get them ready to cook.”Chef Jimmy walked into his first job as a dishwasher for a popular local restaurant, immediately falling in love with the way a restaurant kitchen operated.  Over the next 10 years, he honed his culinary skills working in several different kitchens in every position possible under several different chefs.  In 1994, he accepted a position as Executive Sous Chef at April Sound Country Club.  He was soon promoted to Executive Chef and moved around Texas to v...

About Timothy

Tim comes to April Sound with a vast amount of golf experience from the Clubs of Kingwood, where he has been for most of the last seven years. While at Kingwood, Tim started as an Assistant Golf Professional, where he learned the systems and processes of how the club worked while moving up as a Head Golf Professional before taking over the position of Tournament Operations, collaborating with Member Associations, and assisting in the outside tournament operations. Tim graduated from Sam Houston State University, where he received a degree in Business and worked through the PGA program while doing internships throughout the United States. Tim is married to Tiffany, and they have two active kids, Noah and McKenzi.

About Steve

Steve has been with Invited since 1991 and has been serving the Members at April Sound Country Club since July 2014. About Russ

Russ is the Director of Tennis of April Sound Country Club. Russ moved to The Woodlands area in 1988 from Atascocita where he was Director of Tennis at Walden on Lake Conroe. Russ was the Director of Tennis of The Woodlands Athletic Center and The Woodlands Country Club for 30 years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the USPTA Texas Section for 10 years and was inducted into the Kerrville Tivy High School Hall of Fame in 2017. Russ is a graduate of Texas State University, where he won the NAIA National Tennis Doubles Championship and earned a degree in Finance. Russ is a proud husband to wife Dona and son Jordan who is also a teaching tennis professional for Lost Creek CC a Invited facility.

About Jessica

Jessica joined April Sound Country Club in February of 2023, but she has been part of the Invited team since November 2015. She oversees Membership Accounting now. Jessica enjoys assisting Members in a timely and efficient manner. She has built strong relationships with Members and Employees alike during her time with Invited. Jessica is originally from Midland, Texas, grew up in Indonesia, and has lived in the Spring area since 2001. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with Jared and their four children: Cassidy, Clinton, Colt, and Cade.
