Serving since 2018
Chef Eric Romero has come from Downtown Club at The Met to join our team here at Bay Oaks Country Club. He discovered his passion for the culinary arts when he began his career at the age of 16 at the Pappas Restaurant chain. He then continued to move up the ranks at restaurants Pesce, Ristorante Cavour, Brennan’s, and the Houston Country Club.He joined The Houston Club in 2013 for its new location; after three successful years and numerous awards, he was asked to oversee the reopening of the newly renovated Met Club in downtown. When he isn’t chained to stove, you can find him in the garage crafting tables and butcher blocks. Serving within every capacity of the hospitality industry has led him to appreciate and understand what it takes to serve and lead in the kitchen.
