After work, you can find Mallory exploring new hiking spots and searching for the best ice cream shop. Born and raised in Chapel Hill, and the middle child of a UNC professor’s family, Alan’s love for the history, honor, respect, and pageantry of Tar Heel academics and athletics is deeply embedded in his soul. His youthful interests in the NC Coast and its wildlife eventually lured him to UNC Wilmington where he earned his degree in Business Administration. In the years that followed, Alan returned to Chapel Hill, married his high school sweetheart, raised two beautiful children, and continued a 20+ year career of upper-level management positions within private clubs, high-end steakhouse chains, and hotel hospitality. Alan is truly thankful to have this opportunity for his career to come about full circle, and work within the institution that has had such a tremendous impact on his life.
