The name Coto de Caza is Portuguese for "Preserve of the Hunt," which fits well since the area was originally a hunting preserve. The Club's excellent reputation attracts resident Members, as well as Members from surrounding communities.
The Coto de Caza clubhouse opened in February of 1991 and was completely remodeled in a traditional craftsman style. From new paint to classic furniture to all-new exterior landscaping, the clubhouse is a beautiful sight.
The North Course was built in 1987 and is rated one of the nation's top 25 courses. The South Course, which opened in April of 1995, is different in style and spirit from the North. It has smaller greens, flatter landing areas to reward good shots and native trees that give this Orange County golf course an established feel.
The racquet club and aquatic center opened in July of 1991. This truly unrivaled Coto de Caza Club features a stadium center court, nine surrounding courts, ball machine, four full-time and three part-time tennis professionals. At the Coto Country Club Aquatic Center, Members can choose between three pools for various age groups as well as an outdoor Jacuzzi.
The Coto de Caza spa and sports club had its grand opening in April of 2008. Coto de Caza Country Club Members can relax and rejuvenate at this state-of-the-art facility featuring a full-service spa including four treatment rooms. The sports club also includes a kids club and locker room with steam room and sauna.
