The Friendship Cup - 2024
The 2024 Friendship Cup - May 1-3, 2024 May 1 - Practice Round and Welcome Party May 2 - Round 1 - All Day May 3 - Round 2 - Morning Shotgun Start, Luncheon and Shoot Out FORMAT: 18 HOLES Championship flight: will include FOUR PERSON TEAMS - 1 MEMBER & 3 GUESTS, or 2 MEMBERS AND 2 GUESTS, or 3 MEMBERS AND 1 GUEST NEW format for DAY ONE: Two Best Ball 6-6-6. This 4-person team game has you partnered with a different person on your team every six holes. Team scores are calculated using the best net from each of the pairings within the foursome. Each team member will receive 1 magic putt for their round. The golf shop will put the teams together on your scorecards. DAY TWO Format: TWO NET BEST BALL OF THE FOURSOME. The two lowest NET scores will be recorded on your scorecard. If you are out of the hole please pick up. An Optional four magic putts (one per team member) will be sold for $40 per team in the morning during breakfast. Proceeds from the mulligans will go to our Girls Golf Scholarship Fund. Non-Competitive Flight and format: If you are a 4 GBGC member team, you may sign up for the non-competitive flight. the Non-competitive flight will play a scramble format both days and is not eligible to make the shoot out. Entry Fee: $395 per person - includes welcome cocktail party, tournament fees, lots of food, day one magic putt per person, flight prizes, lots of laughs and Lifetime memories. Handicaps and posting: All players will use their handicap index as of April 28, 2024. LGA May Trophy Day
It's Trophy Day! We will be playing Low Gross, Low Net and Low Putts. you also can say you don't want to be in the event and play for just a score to post. This is a stroke play event. The lowest net score and 2nd place net score will be asked to compete in the finals in November for the big prize awarded at the December luncheon. Pairings will be done by handicap. Please sign up by Noon on Monday. Pairings will be send out by 5 p.m. If you sign up after noon on Monday, you will tee off in the back of the field. We will all start at 9:00 a.m. with a forward shotgun start. This means that we will start on holes, 1,2,3,4, etc. based on the number of ladies that sign up. If you were to start on hole #4, you would play 4-18 and then go to the first hole to play holes 1-3.

2024 U.S. Open Local Qualifier - Club Closed
2024 U.S. Open Local Qualifying In 2024 Granite Bay Golf Club, in agreement with the 2024 Golf Committee, has accepted the offer to host the prestigious U.S. Open Local Qualifying. Granite Bay Golf Club is honored to be chosen by the USGA and NCGA to host this event based on its quality of facility, course conditions, difficulty of venue and geographical location. Previous years our Club has seen Colin Morikawa as medalist among other PGA Tour stars. For this event all Club golf facilities will be closed on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 for the qualifier. Members and guests are welcome to come spectate the event but private golf cars and golf cars of any kind are not permitted for the event. For those with handicaps seeking use of a cart to spectate, please reach out to a NCGA official or the golf shop on the day of play. We will permit practice rounds for competitors spread out over a matter of a week leading up to the event. We will work to ensure these practice rounds are not at peak times and take tee times away from our membership. The 2024 Friendship Cup - May 1-3, 2024 May 1 - Practice Round and Welcome Party May 2 - Round 1 - All Day May 3 - Round 2 - Morning Shotgun Start, Luncheon and Shoot Out FORMAT: 18 HOLES Championship flight: will include FOUR PERSON TEAMS - 1 MEMBER & 3 GUESTS, or 2 MEMBERS AND 2 GUESTS, or 3 MEMBERS AND 1 GUEST NEW format for DAY ONE: Two Best Ball 6-6-6. This 4-person team game has you partnered with a different person on your team every six holes. Team scores are calculated using the best net from each of the pairings within the foursome. Each team member will receive 1 magic putt for their round. The golf shop will put the teams together on your scorecards. DAY TWO Format: TWO NET BEST BALL OF THE FOURSOME. The two lowest NET scores will be recorded on your scorecard. If you are out of the hole please pick up. An Optional four magic putts (one per team member) will be sold for $40 per team in the morning during breakfast. Proceeds from the mulligans will go to our Girls Golf Scholarship Fund. Non-Competitive Flight and format: If you are a 4 GBGC member team, you may sign up for the non-competitive flight. the Non-competitive flight will play a scramble format both days and is not eligible to make the shoot out. Entry Fee: $395 per person - includes welcome cocktail party, tournament fees, lots of food, day one magic putt per person, flight prizes, lots of laughs and Lifetime memories. Handicaps and posting: All players will use their handicap index as of April 28, 2024. Day 1 - 90% handicaps Day 2 - 90% handicaps. all scores will be posted with a 1 stroke increase for the magic putt daily. Tees: All teams will play from the Pebble (Copper) Tees Unless you request playing from the nugget tees (shortest tees). Your handicap will be adjusted depending on the tee you will be playing. LGA May Trophy Day
It's Trophy Day! We will be playing Low Gross, Low Net and Low Putts. you also can say you don't want to be in the event and play for just a score to post. This is a stroke play event. The lowest net score and 2nd place net score will be asked to compete in the finals in November for the big prize awarded at the December luncheon. Pairings will be done by handicap. Please sign up by Noon on Monday. Pairings will be send out by 5 p.m. If you sign up after noon on Monday, you will tee off in the back of the field. We will all start at 9:00 a.m. with a forward shotgun start. This means that we will start on holes, 1,2,3,4, etc. based on the number of ladies that sign up. If you were to start on hole #4, you would play 4-18 and then go to the first hole to play holes 1-3.

2024 U.S. Open Local Qualifier - Club Closed
2024 U.S. Open Local Qualifying In 2024 Granite Bay Golf Club, in agreement with the 2024 Golf Committee, has accepted the offer to host the prestigious U.S. Open Local Qualifying. Granite Bay Golf Club is honored to be chosen by the USGA and NCGA to host this event based on its quality of facility, course conditions, difficulty of venue and geographical location. Previous years our Club has seen Colin Morikawa as medalist among other PGA Tour stars. For this event all Club golf facilities will be closed on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 for the qualifier. Members and guests are welcome to come spectate the event but private golf cars and golf cars of any kind are not permitted for the event. For those with handicaps seeking use of a cart to spectate, please reach out to a NCGA official or the golf shop on the day of play. We will permit practice rounds for competitors spread out over a matter of a week leading up to the event. We will work to ensure these practice rounds are not at peak times and take tee times away from our membership. We will play Even Holes today. The golf shop will score your net score on holes 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16 & 18, The lowest score will take home the win. Please sign up by Noon on Monday. Pairings will be send out by 5 p.m. If you sign up after noon on Monday, you will tee off in the back of the field. We will all start at 9:00 a.m. with a forward shotgun start.
