Our premier Houston tennis club is pleased to offer 10 indoor tennis courts as well as 3 pickleball courts. The Downtown Club at The Met is your place to hit the courts for relaxation, friendly competition or to stay in top shape for your game.

LESSONS

At our premier tennis club, the professional staff offers a variety of adult and junior lessons from beginner to championship level for our members. 

Private lessons range from $80-$90 per hour and $40-$50 per half hour.

Membership is required to take private lessons.

LEAGUES

The Downtown Club has tennis leagues to get you started right away. Houston League play includes men's and ladies' singles and doubles for all levels of play. Competitive Interclub Leagues include USTA, HLTA, HTA and Friday Indoor League.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We are among the tennis clubs Houston looks to for a diverse calendar of special events because we offer a variety of social and competitive tournaments and mixers. All of the events encourage Members to invite a guest to develop relationships in an enjoyable environment.

HOUSTON PICKLEBALL

Come enjoy the game that's sweeping the nation! The Downtown Clubs at the Met offer three dedicated pickleball courts. Whether you're a tennis aficionado or a racquet sports newbie, you'll love the game of pickleball and our premier downtown courts. 

Welcome to our pickleball community! We offer a variety of pickleball activities for players of all skill levels.

On Tuesdays, join our pickleball league and compete against other players from 6-8 pm.

On Thursdays, improve your skills with our pickleball clinic from 6-7 pm.

For open play, drop by any time between 2-5 pm on weekdays, 1-2 pm on Saturdays, or 9-11 am on Sundays.

We can't wait to see you on the court!

PRO SHOP

Our Pro Shop offers a complete selection of top-of-the-line tennis equipment and the finest tennis attire for men and women. Gift certificates are available at the Club.

Racquet stringing is available to our Members, please inquire through the Pro Shop.

Junior Development Programs

There is no better place than The Downtown Club at The Met for Houston youth tennis. The Junior Programs are designed to help players of all levels to reach their dreams and goals. The staff takes pride in developing individual instruction to meet each student's needs. The Club provides QuickStart Tennis and a High Performance Junior Program.
