Scott is an industry veteran, previously serving as General Manager of White Columns Country Club, Golf Club of Georgia, Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale, as well as several other prominent clubs in Hilton Head and Atlanta. Additionally, Scott oversaw Brookfield Country Club’s reinvention in 2016 and is eager to bring his knowledge and experience to The Country Club of the South. In addition to serving as General Manager at CCS, he currently oversees regional clubs as well, including Laurel Springs, Northwood, Windermere and Olde Atlanta. Scott received his business degree from Auburn University and currently resides in Alpharetta with his wife, Jill, and their four children.

Rafael Mendoza

A native of Merida Yucatan Mexico, Rafael graduated from the University of Yucatan with a degree in Hospitality. Rafael began his career as a Server and in 2006 was promoted to his current position. In planning weddings and other private events, Rafael enjoys creating magic moments for Members and guests by assisting them with every detail of their special day. 

Amy Cromer

Role: Member Relations Director

Amy brings six years of events & hospitality experience to The Country Club of the South. She is passionate about creating and maintaining relationships as the foundation of everything. Amy most recently served as the Operations Coordinator at The Fox Theatre for three years working with events, staff training, and organizational operations.  

Amy holds a Master of Science in Conflict Management and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Kennesaw State University. She is a registered mediator and trained negotiator in the State of Georgia with certificates in Organizational and Ethical Leadership.  

When she’s not at work, Amy enjoys baking, live music, and serving at Buckhead Church.

Oscar Gago

Oscar came to The Country Club of the South after a nineteen-year career with Hyatt Hotels. Most recently, he was the Director of Operations at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables and has worked at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Chicago, and Hyatt Regency O'Hare. He is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University in Hotel Restaurant Management and has a wife, Eileen, two children and three grandchildren. 

Steve White

I have been in the golf business for eight years now. I started my career at Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia. I accepted the position of First Assistant at The Country Club of the South in April of 2006. I accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at The Country Club of the South in June of 2010 under the new ownership of ClubCorp. Prior to my career in the golf industry, I spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps. After my Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps, I began a career in the Transportation and Logistics Management industry as an Operations Manager. 

I have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful daughters, 3 and 6 years of age. We live in Marietta, Georgia.

Joseph Green

Joe comes to The Country Club of the South from Columbus, Ohio where he supported local and national employer groups with initiatives to build and develop worksite fitness programs. He is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach. Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University where he was also a competitive rower. Joe enjoys using his education and experience to construct holistic fitness and wellness plans.

Joe prides himself on keeping up with current research and practical implications of evidence-based protocols he incoproates into instruction. Joe has a passion for comprehensively improving the lives of those he instructs through building strength, energy, and confidence. He is excited to join the team at The Country Club of the South and bring these passions to life through the fitness and wellness of members!

Sue Thoren

I started working for ClubCorp in 1996 on Hilton Head and was promoted/transferred to several properties in different states over the course of 20 years, serving in various accounting roles, including at Country Club of the South.  I was in a Regional position when I left in 2017 to help my husband with his business only to realize how much I missed my friends and colleagues at ClubCorp. I was very happy to return to CCOS in April 2019 and essentially pick up where I left off.  I reside in Buford with my husband, 2 daughters, 4 cats and the coolest dog on the planet.

Don White

Role: Locker Room Manager / Hospitality Ambassador

Don L. White is the Men’s Locker Room Manager at The Country Club of the South. Don has mastered the art of hospitality and leadership with his warm personality, attention to detail, and eagerness to serve the members. This special talent has earned Don numerous awards since he began working at CCS in 2010. Most recently, Don was awarded the 2016 “All-Star" Award (highest employee award attainable within ClubCorp). 

From Louisville, KY, Don graduated from Fern Creek High School and has been in the hospitality business for twenty-five years. Besides working at The Country Club of the South, his favorite job was working at the Pendennis Club, where he performed his duties as a Maitre d’. 

Don currently resides in Norcross, GA and enjoys taking care of his home, enjoying the outdoors, visiting family and working out.

William Oakley

Matt Albertario

Role: Executive Chef

A Chicago native and die hard Chicago Bears fan, Matt comes to Country Club of the South after serving as Atlanta Regional Senior Executive for JW Homes Golf Courses and Executive Chef at Wildfire Restaurant and Ray's Killer Creek.

Matt and his wife volunteer at animal rescues and shelters near Canton where they live with their two dogs.
